"On the Cutting Edge!!!"

Well here we are. It is year four at Blessed Fellowship Ministries. If God has not being doing things, we would not still be here. For this season of 2012, we are striving to be on the "cutting edge" in every area of our lives. The theme is based upon 2 Kings 6:1-7. In those scriptures, a servant who was doing a Godly work, lost his axehead. He had to seek help from his master to get the axehead back so he could continue to do work. After 4 years, I confess there have been times I have not been sharp in preparation, praying, and preaching which can cause the work that I do for God to not be my best. When this happens to me, that's when it's time to go to the master, so I can recover the gift that was given to me and continue to glorify him through the work he has allowed me to do. So again in 2012, we are to be on the "cutting edge" with our gifts for God. After all, he deserves our very best. The quarterly emphasis will be as followed:

  • Jan-March "Uncovering our Gifts
  • April-June "Understanding our Gifts
  • July-September "Utilizing our Gifts
  • October-December "Undergirding Others with our Gifts"

God Bless You All,

3 Years of Worship

3 years ago, I stepped out on faith with just my wife and 2 children to plant Blessed Fellowship Ministries. Today at 1:30pm, we will take the time to celebrate what God has done and the fact that we are still holding it down. I am testimony, if you have a goal, vision, or dream and it lines up with God's word, it can happen if your are willing to make it happen. Be led by God's spirit (Zechariah 4:6).

"It's time to move on!"

In 1 Kings 17:7-9, there was a man of God by the name of Elijah who found himself at a place where resources had run out. He would discover that It was time for him to move on to a better place, to be in a better position, to fufill his God given purpose. At Blessed Fellowship, we have been blessed to be in places such as the North Frayser Community Center and the Raleigh Springs Mall. A new season is upon us and now is the time for us to move on. We praise God for the Evangelical Faith Community Church for allowing us to Worship there. We continue to give God Glory for the things he continues to do in this Ministry, especially in our 2011 season of Breakthroughs!"

A Breakthrough Season in 2011

In January of 2011, it will have been 3 years since we first launched. God has done good things within this ministry. Yet, as a Pastor and Visionary, I know that the best is yet to come. In 2011, I proclaim a season of Breakthroughs. With Genesis 32:22-32 as our foundation scripture, we will focus on:
  • Repositioning ourselves to get closer to God
  • Refusing to let anything get between us and God
  • Being Ready for what God has for us
  • Being Released to the new things that God has for us
"Watch it happen!!!"

"Keep On!

Well, 2 years of Worship has taken place within this ministry.  We are still here, doing what we do for God! Glory to his name! As I look back and reflect what it has been like to see the vision of this ministry turn into action, I'm reminded of Isaac's experiences in Genesis 26. In that chapter, Isaac kept digging wells in the valley of Gerar not once or twice but 3 times. The first 2 times he had success. However he had to go elsewhere because of struggles and challenges from outside forces. He had legit excuses to quit but he didn't. Finally the 3rd time he dug a well, he found permanent success. It became evident to people all around that God's hands was on this man.
In the short time of this Ministry's existence, we have seen many measures of success only to have more struggles and challenges. Yet Wednesday after Wednesday and Sunday after Sunday, we have kept on doing what we do for God. So Sunday July 11 at 1pm, a celebration for 2 years of Worship shall take place. In other words, we are Keeping on!

"We are a Blessing to Others!"

In Zechariah 8:13, God's word reminds us that in spite of how messed up our past can be, we will still be alright. In fact he tells us that we will be a blessing to others. Therefore we can 1. Let go of our past, 2. Live in the present & 3.Look to the Future. So our theme for 2010 is "We are a Blessing."  As we strive to be a blessing to others throughout the year, we will focus on the following::
  • Reaching Out to Others
  • Celebrating Others
  • Encouraging Others
  • Interceding for Others
  • Influencing Others
  • Sharing with Others

"Pressing On!"

On the last Sunday of this month, we will celebrate 1 year of worshipping the Lord together. The things that God has been doing at Blessed Fellowship is truly marvelous. We give God all of his Glory!

While all has been well, we must continue to grow in knowledge and grace and do what Paul encourages believers to do in Philippians 3:12-16 which is to "Press toward the Mark!" So while we are celebrating, we shall keep pressing on, doing all that we can today, so tomorrow we will be a better follower of Jesus Christ than we were yesterday.

God Bless

"We are Growing"

In January of 2008, this ministry was launched as a weekly bible study at the North Frayser Community Center. For those of us that have been apart of this ministry during the course of the year, we have seen God do so many awesome things. We have seen people get saved and baptized. We have seen families reunite. We have seen deliverance and restoration take place.  We have had fun fellowships. We have been strengthened and encouraged. We thank God and we give him all of the Glory. This is his doing and it truly is marvelous. While we are excited about the things that he has done, we do not want to be content. There is more work that needs to be done. We must keep on doing all of the things that God has called us to do. Therefore our theme for 2009 is We are Growing. As we do our part to grow in Jesus name, we will receive more grace and knowledge to be the people that God wants us to be (2nd Peter 3:18). Then God will continue to do everything he did for us in 2008 and then some.

God Bless ya!

God is Doing Things

During the month of October, God has blessed us greatly with an increase. We have increased spiritually and numerically. As of right now, there are 6 candidates for Baptism at out Sunday Worship Service. It should come as no suprise for those of us who are word believers. Because this church has stayed true to Acts 2:42, the results are what has been stated afterwards in verse 43. God is simply showing himself in this place with his signs and wonders. To God be the Glory!

Prayer Changes Things!

In 2nd Chronicles 7:14, God's word says: if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Because of what God's word says in the quoted scripture above and because of the inspiration we all have received during our emphasis on prayer for this month, we will come together and pray each Wednesday at 6pm (Wednesday Word  will be moved to 7pm) beginning October 1st. Bring your prayer requests and be ready to pray for others as well as ourselves. Again according to 2nd Chronicles 7:14, God will do it!
